How Medicine and the Law Complement Each Other
Many people don’t realize it, but medicine and the law actually complement each other. If medicine restores the injured person’s health, then the law compensates for the temporary harms and losses suffered, and nothing more; however, if the losses are permanent or cannot be restored by medicine, then the law will compensate not only the temporary harms and losses, but also the permanent harms and losses.
