Throughout his career, Mr. Dority has enjoyed a vast litigation practice that has permitted him to refine his litigation and negotiation skills on a variety of projects. Mr. Dority’s legal experience includes first-chair trial experience, second-chair trial experience, successfully arguing various motions throughout Texas, as well as taking and defending numerous depositions. Prior to joining Daniel Linebaugh, Mr. Dority spent a decade defending some of the largest companies in the world in lawsuits brought by injured parties and their families. Through this experience, Mr. Dority gained a comprehensive understanding of how corporations and their insurance companies operate and evaluate legal matters.

In 2021, Mr. Dority grew tired of representing large organizations against the “little guy.” In November 2021, Mr. Dority joined Daniel Linebaugh with a desire to tip the scales of justice in favor of injured parties. Using the collective knowledge he gained while working at some of the country’s biggest law firms, Mr. Dority now zealously represents injured parties with unmatched vigor and determination. Michael Dority serves Baytown, La Porte, Mt. Belvieu and many other cities throughout Texas.

Mr. Dority graduated cum laude from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2011. While in law school, Mr. Dority competed in both moot court and mock trial competitions and was invited to become a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society.
